News: Regional Optical Fiber Backbone Study kickoff

  The Consortium CERT- SOFRECOM just started first phase of the technical and economic feasibility study for the deployment of a fiber optical backbone covering the five countries of the Union of Arab Maghreb (Tunisia, Libya, Mauritania, Algeria, and Morocco). The project is totally funded by the African Development Bank.

CERT certified under ISO 2001: 2008

  Concerned by the promotion of the quality of its services, the CERT was engaged since 1999 in a quality aiming procedures focused on its acceptance procedure tests. This approach has been crowned since 2000 by the CERT certification following different ISO9001 updates, and was recently extended (at the end of 2010) to cover the studies and corporate networks design in addition to the technical acceptance services by the label ISO2001: 2008.

Forum "Global collaboration in the Post-Information Era”, Date: 10 November 2010,

  The event was co-hosted by the Ministry of Communication Technologies-Tunisia and the Ministry of Knowledge Economy-Korea and co-organized by the ITTP-Global IT Leaders at KAIST; Korea Advanced Institute for Science and Technologies and CERT, in partnership with ITPP at Seoul National University and NIA Agency. This event has brought together representatives from Ministries, Government agencies, Academia and Private sector from more than 20 countries to discuss different cooperation opportunities and provide comprehensive thoughts towards more effective collaboration in the Post-Information Era.

Workshop on the QoS of Networks; Period: 8 to 10 November 2010,

  Under the ITU COE program for the Arab region, the CERT organized, in partnership with EPITIRO a workshop on measuring and evaluating of the quality of service perceived by mobile and fixed networks users (voice, data and Internet services).
